PLAGUERS TO BE RELEASED ON DVD DECEMBER 8!

Nightfall Pictures' award-winning sci-fi/horror film PLAGUERS will make its US debut on DVD from Image Entertainment on December 8, 2009.

Special features on the disc include "SCARES IN SPACE", a 35-minute, comprehensive making-of featurette containing plenty of on-set footage, cast and crew interviews, and more.  The disc will also feature audio commentary with writer/director Brad Sykes, producer Josephina Sykes, and star Steve Railsback. It will be presented in 1:78 widescreen and in 5.1 Dolby Stereo.

PLAGUERS has been selected to screen at the first edition of the Celludroid Sci-Fi / Anime / Fantasy film festival in South Africa! The film will be playing on August 29 at 4 p.m. at The Labia Theatre in Cape Town, South Africa.

PLAGUERS MAKES MARKET DEBUT AT 2008 AFM!

PLAGUERS made its market debut at this year’s AFM (American Film Market), represented by Spotlight Pictures.  The market was held between Nov. 5-12 at the Loews hotel in Santa Monica.  Apparently there was a lot of interest in the film, which will be sold at more markets, including Cannes, throughout next year.  Go to www.spotlight-pictures.com for any foreign sales inquiries.  More updates to come…for now, check out our new poster!

TWO WINS AT SHOCKERFEST!

We just returned from Shockerfest in Modesto, CA where PLAGUERS opened the three-day festival.  Our midnight screening went great, and we spent the rest of the weekend catching up with old friends and making a few new ones.  And at the Sunday night awards ceremony, PLAGUERS walked away with two of the top awards, the Larry Stanley “Best B-Movieâ€� Award and Best Actor (Science Fiction) for Steve Railsback!

PLAGUERS IS OPENING NIGHT FILM AT SHOCKERFEST!

Coming on the heels of our recent win in Estepona, we're pleased to announce that PLAGUERS has also been selected as the Opening Night Film at the Shockerfest International Film Festival!  It will screen at midnight at the Galaxy 12 Theatres in Riverbank, CA on Oct. 3, 2008.  PLAGUERS is also a Finalist for Best Science Fiction Feature.  This will be the film's North American premiere and writer/director Brad Sykes and producer Josephina Sykes will be in attendance, so start Halloween early this year and be the first to catch PLAGUERS on the west coast!

We just received word today from the Mid Ohio Comic-Con Indie Film Festival that PLAGUERS has not only been selected to screen, but has also won the award for Best Sci-Fi/Fantasy Feature! Thanks to J. Michael Lewis and everyone at MOCC for awarding our film and including us in this year’s festival lineup!

  The Con takes place October 4-5, 2008 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio.   PLAGUERS will screen at 11:45 a.m. on Sunday, October 5.

PLAGUERS WINS BEST SCREENPLAY AWARD AT ESTEPONA!

We just returned from an incredible trip to Estepona, Spain, where PLAGUERS was awarded the Silver Unicorn
("Unicornio de Plata") for Best Screenplay at the Estepona Fantasy and Horror Film festival!  PLAGUERS had its world premiere on Sept. 3 to an extremely enthusiastic audience and was the best-received film at the festival. We had a great time in Estepona and were treated extremely well by the organizers of the festival.  Muchas gracias to Julio Peces, Sarah Quijano, Natalia Galera, Pedro Merida, and everyone else for making this such a wonderful and memorable experience!
